Fredrick “Bud” Conrad

Fred “Bud” Conrad Fred Conrad died Aug. 8, 2006,

in Thousand Oaks at the age of 83 after a sudden illness.

Fred was born in Baltimore, Md.

He was a veteran of War World II, having flown on B-17s.

After the war, he attended Johns Hopkins University,

obtaining Bachelor of Science

and Master of Science degrees in electrical engineering.

He joined the ranks of Bunker Ramo Corp. in Baltimore,

then moved with the company to Thousand Oaks in the early 1970s.

He worked for Bunker Ramo until his retirement in 1988.

He was an avid football fan and enjoyed jazz, chess and motorcycles.

Fred was predeceased by his loving wife, Helen.

He is survived by his daughter, Christine of West End, N.C.;

son, James of Norfolk, Va.;

granddaughters, Kimberly Casserino of Colorado Springs, Colo.,

and Danielle Casserino of Los Angeles;

and several other relatives.
